The best-value coworking in Shoreditch is a day pass at Second Home on Hanbury Street, E1, or The Brew at Eagle House on City Road, both from £25 a day. For a permanent desk, The Trampery Old Street has dedicated desks from £295 a month plus VAT, and Fora runs nine buildings around Shoreditch and Old Street. Below: who offers what, at what price, and when you can get in.

Second Home, Hanbury Street

Second Home at 68-80 Hanbury Street in E1 is the design-led option near Brick Lane, with planting through the building, a rooftop and terrace, phone booths, an on-site cafe, showers and towels, bike parking and free tea and filter coffee. Prices, all plus VAT:

  • Day pass from £25, also sold in bundles. Day pass access runs until 6pm.
  • Roaming membership from £250 a month, with unlimited hot desking.
  • Resident membership, with a dedicated desk, from £400 a month.
  • Offices from £500 a month a person.

Reception is staffed from 8am to 9pm and members get 24-hour access. Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed for full-time members. It is ten minutes on foot from Liverpool Street and eight from Aldgate East or Whitechapel.

The Brew, Eagle House, City Road

The Brew at 163 City Road, EC1V, is the plain, practical choice on the Old Street side of Shoreditch. Hot desking is from £25 a day with no commitment; you can book ahead or walk in, subject to space, from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Fixed desks are from £314 a month and private offices from £387 a month, both with 24-hour access. The day rate includes 1Gb wired internet and wifi with two backup lines, meeting rooms and phone booths, showers and bike racks, and unlimited Fairtrade tea and coffee.

The Trampery Old Street

The Trampery Old Street at 239 Old Street, EC1V, is the group's flagship, a long-abandoned building converted into a workspace, now marking ten years. A dedicated resident desk is from £295 a month plus VAT on a rolling monthly licence, and private offices are from £354 a desk a month plus VAT. Members get 24-hour access, 500Mbps internet, a members' lounge called The Drawing Room, a kitchen, showers and a quiet space, along with members' lunches and weekly coffee mornings. The workspace is on the first floor, reached by lift. The building also has a 200-person ballroom for events. At the time of writing the Trampery is offering one month free on a three-month desk membership.

Fora, nine buildings

Fora lists nine workspaces in and around Shoreditch: Montacute Yards on Shoreditch High Street (with a gym), 71 Central Street (with a library), 21-33 Great Eastern Street, 35-41 Folgate Street, 42-46 Princelet Street (with a roof terrace), the Black & White Building at 74 Rivington Street, 81 Rivington Street, White Collar Factory at 1 Old Street Yard (games room and roof terrace, overlooking the roundabout) and Albert House at 256-260 Old Street. Fora does not publish prices; enquire through the site. Its day passes are arranged with the sales team, and it has run complimentary day passes for occasions such as International Coworking Day.

What a day costs elsewhere

For a wider comparison, Wezoo's July 2026 survey put Shoreditch day rates from £36 at Shoreditch Exchange in E2 to £78 at Spaces in Epworth House, with Regus at 167 City Road in between. On those figures, the £25 day passes at Second Home and The Brew are the cheapest serious desks in the area.

The free option

Shoreditch Library at 80 Hoxton Street, N1, opens 10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm on Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Hackney Libraries lets members book two-hour computer slots, and you can print, copy and scan there.

Which one

  • One day, cheapest: Second Home or The Brew, both from £25.
  • One day, need to stay late: neither day pass runs past 6pm, so book a meeting room or go monthly.
  • A permanent desk: The Trampery from £295 a month, or The Brew from £314.
  • A team of five or more: ask Fora and The Trampery for office prices.
